Group Classes
We are happy to announce that our Puppy I and Puppy II classes are both AKC STAR Puppy accredited! STAR stands for Socialization, Training, Activity and a Responsible owner. The skills in AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy classes are practical and functional. Teaching puppies to tolerate grooming, handling, and basic exams of the ears, feet, and mouth will result in well-mannered puppies that veterinarians are happy to see.

Adult II
For dogs over 6 months old.
Must have completed prerequasits (Puppy II or Adult I) or be opted in during evaluation.
This 6 week group course is geared to expand upon things your dog already knows and some new excersizes to help you have a well mannered pup that you can bring with you to dog-friendly areas with ease. Your dog will come back to you when called, but will he do it with interesting iteams on the ground or an unfamilliar dog walking thier way? Your dog stays pretty well, but will he stay when theres people walking by or a ball being thrown? By adding the three Ds of dog training (distance, duration, and distraction,) we can get to that level. Your dog will learn new cues like drop it, center, and spin. They will also learn to not touch things that drop to the floor. You will gain the skills to train your dog to properly greet people and other dogs on lead (Note this is not an objective for anyone working with a reactive dog.)
Problem Behaviors:Excitable greetings with other dogs on lead
