I have worked in the animal care industry since 2012. I started my journey interning at Warren Animal Control under their dog officer. That internship started me on the animal career path that I am still on today. After finding my love for animals I decided I wanted to dive deeper. I got an amazing opportunity to intern in the RISPCA Cruelty Division. Which was an eye-opening experience. After that I was able to enhance my knowledge about rescues while interning at The Potter League for Animals' business department. In my last year of highschool I went to Penn Foster Career School and got certified as a veterinary assistant. I soon figured out, I don't like the vet scene at all. So I decided to go a different route and got a job at my local pet store. They wanted me to work at their vaccination clinic, but I really wanted to try out the dog training department. I had to work as a cashier until there was a slot open and it was well worth the wait. I worked at that large retailer for a few years while I really got the hang of training. I thank "Petmartco" for giving me an understanding of the basics, but there was so much more to learn. After I started going to seminars in my freetime, I knew I could help more people by offering affordable in-home services. You can get alot done at a big box company, but I've found a lot of the "behavior problems" are things that really need to be looked at and addressed in the home setting.
